​During the campus updates, we introduced your campus ambassador to you.  Now you get the opportunity to meet the campus ambassadors from other campuses!

Theresa Upchurch, Howe Intermediate School




Hello!  My name is Theresa Upchurch!  My husband and I have been married for 12 years and he is medically retired from the Army. We have 2 children: Elizabeth 7 and Roy 5.  I have been teaching for 8 years in the Texoma area. I have a passion for reading, writing and technology! I have been in Howe at the Intermediate teaching 5th ELAR for the past 2 years and love working here!

Essential Tech Tool's for Today's Classrooms ✅🍎🚌

Many of you were able to attend Theresa's awesome "Back to the Future:  Essential Tech Tools for Today's Classroom's" sessions at Bulldog Connect and learned how you can use collaborative and interactive tools with your students.  If you were not able to attend, please check out her session notes below.

Both of these presentations are a wonderful resource to learn something new to use with your students.  She discusses Wakelet, Sway, Thikio, Padlet and so much more.  The best part is that there are videos, websites, and handouts already linked.  Make sure to save it to your favorites for future viewing!

Instructional Technology Reminders ✅📝

As you are getting new students in your classroom, you are probably going through a checklist of what they need access to.  Please reference this handy guide on what to submit a ticket for and what will be completed automatically:

Students will automatically be added to:
  • Clever
  • Canvas
  • SAVVAS, McGraw-Hill, iCEV, Sapling Learning digital textbooks
  • Any of the instructional technology programs listed in Clever under Student Apps or District Links
Students will need to be manually added to (please submit a ticket!):
  • HMH Ed
  • Think Central (5-8 grade only)
  • Adobe (9-12 only)
  • Amplify Reading
If it has been longer than 24 hours and you still do not see your students in Canvas, Clever or anything listed above in the "Automatic" category, please submit a ticket!
