Good Morning,

It's the LAST TUESDAY before Christmas Break!  We made it!

Here are your tech tips for the week! 🙂

iPad Bookmarks

This tech tip comes courtesy of Dusty Williams- thanks Dusty! 🙂

Have you ever wondered how to make bookmarks on your ipad, similar to an app?  You can super easy by following the directions.

  1.  Go to the website you are wanting to make a bookmark from (i.e. Howe ISD, Canvas, an instructional resource)
  2. Once there, have students click on the square with the arrow shooting out of it and select, "Add to Home Screen." See below:

Once they have done this, have them change the name to anything they want (on this example, they changed it to "sign in")

Now, they have a shortcut on their home screen that will take them directly to anything they want!

Fun Classroom Activity:  An "Unboxing" Video

It's no secret that unboxing videos are THE most popular trend on YouTube right now.  What is it?  They are videos of people opening electronics, toys, makeup, and more are viewed millions of times on YouTube. Chances are your students have probably watched an unboxing video -- or are familiar with the genre.  The idea for your classroom is to have students create an "Unboxing Video" over something they have learned and share it with their peers.  Here are some awesome ideas of how to do it from "Ditch that Textbook":

I hope that all of you have a wonderful break!  Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Thanks,
