Here are your Tech Tips for the week 🙂

Canvas Reminders

We had some issues with Canvas yesterday and (for the most part) everything is back to normal. 🎉 Just to make sure everything is 100%, here are some things to check:
  1.  Make sure your assignments have the correct dates and are assigned to the students in your class.
  2. If you added a teacher assistant or observer to your class, you are going to need to add them again. 
  3. ​If you have shared your course with another teacher, you are going to check to make sure they still can see your course.

App Spotlight:  Discovery Education

A great resource to take advantage of this year is Discovery Education!  All teachers and students can instantly login through Clever.

One of the great features of Discovery Education are their channels.  I love the channel "news and current events."  If you are wanting to incorporate current events, news, etc. into your classroom, and do it in a safe way, then Discovery Education has done all the work for you!  After you login to Discovery, you will scroll down to the middle of the page and find the channel called "News and Current Events":



From there, you can choose your age range and look at your resources:




Microsoft Word Tip

Did you know that you can save your Microsoft Word document as a PDF?  

After creating your document, you will go to "file" and then "save as."

From there, you will choose your OneDrive to save your document and then identify what file type you want:
Convert to a PDF and HTML Doc

Just title your document and choose PDF- it will automatically convert it for you. Here is another trick- you can also do the same thing in Microsoft Excel!
