Good Morning,
I hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday!
Here are your tech tips for the week 🙂
App Spotlight: Discovery Education Virtual Field Trips
This year many of our students are missing out on school field trips due to COVID-19 restrictions. Discovery Education has an amazing library of Virtual Field trips ready to view during your class time. After logging in through Clever, you will scroll down
to the middle of the page until you reach the section "My Channels." Then you will choose "Virtual Field Trips."
Once again, you will choose your age range:
And then choose your subject/destination! This is a really great way to have a "field trip" in the classroom and make it part of your lesson.
Student Friendly Google Search
Google is an amazing tool, but it can also be a gateway to things we don't want our students to see. Even with the best internet filters, some images or sites will still fall
through the cracks. I have recently discovered a "kid friendly" google search engine for all students PK-12. It's called "Kiddle", and it is powered by Google! It automatically filters out anything inappropriate and only includes images/websites that are
appropriate for the classroom setting.
I have placed this shortcut in Clever under "Web Clips."
Teacher Productivity Tip
Have you ever used "Reminders" on your iPad? It's a great checklist application and does a great job of keeping you organized. You can create checklists, set reminders, create
alarms, and check them off when you are done! Think of it as your own personal assistant.
Have a great Tuesday!
Happy Groundhog Day to everyone except Texas:
