Good Morning,

I hope you are all staying warm on this frigid Tuesday morning!

Here are your tech tips for the week. 🙂

Create a QR Code in Chrome

The chrome browser has released an update to instantly create a QR code of any website you visit.  Why use QR codes?  Students can instantly scan the code, through the camera on their iPad, and go to the website.  It saves so much time!

To create a QR code of your website, follow these easy steps:

  • Go to the web site you are wanting to generate the QR code for.
  • Right click anywhere on the page
  • Choose "Create a QR code of this page"

  • Then you can leave the QR code on the screen for students to scan or click "download" and add it to a worksheet, canvas, newsletter, etc.!

Thinkio 🤖

Y'all are going to love this site- it's a game changer!  The site https://www.thinkio.it/ take ANY worksheet you upload and makes it interactive for FREE!  And the best part- students can mark the paper, save their progress, and submit it back to you without having to make an account.  The steps are super easy- simply upload your worksheet, generate the share link to put into Canvas (or make a QR code of!) and then students to click or scan and complete the work.  It is that easy!  Here is the best part- when students click "save" it submits their work for you to review as they are working on it.  You can annotate, add comments, etc. and then send it back to them for corrections in real time.

Go to https://www.thinkio.it/ to sign up for your free account and follow the steps to share interactive worksheets.

And then watch this video to see it in action:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3GSmT2kd9k&feature=emb_title

Have a great day!
