Hello Everyone,
We are in the final countdown! JUST 2 MORE DAYS!
Here are some FAQs for your EOY Procedures.
-
How do I export and import my Chrome bookmarks?
Want to avoid having to do this every year? Try signing in to your Chrome browser! You can sign into Google Chrome by clicking "sign in" at the top right corner of the browser. Sign in using a personal Google account or your Howe ISD google account.
Every bookmark, website, preference, etc. will save to each computer you log into forever!
- I am leaving the district- how to I export my Canvas content and import it into a new course at my new district?
Remember, if you are returning to Howe ISD you do not need to export/import any of your course content. Canvas will automatically archive your course from this year for you to access next year.
If you are leaving the district, you can follow these directions:

How do I find the EOY checklist for the IT Department? Do I have to turn in my iPad on Friday?
Make sure to fill out the EOY IT Checklist for the 2020-2021 school year here: https://forms.office.com/r/aHmWKLMrzA
You can turn in your iPad on Friday if you choose to! However, if you are needing a device this summer before the Bulldog Connect 1st Annual Conference, you have the option of keeping your device until August 3rd. Please let your campus secretary know if you are keeping your iPad this summer. ALL STAFF will be getting a new device on August 3rd during the breakfast/device check-in from 7:00 to 8:00 am.
- Do I need to do anything with the classroom equipment in my room? (i.e.- Hovercam, desktop, etc.)
Remember that if you redo your classroom this week or at any point this summer, you must make sure that your computer is close to the network and A/V ports. The IT department will not be able to provide you with longer cords.
Please keep all your classroom equipment in your room. We will be working all summer to make sure that everything is ready to go the week you return.
On a personal note: This year has been one of the most challenging and exhausting years we have ever had. You all have done an AMAZING job making sure that each of your students had what they needed to be successful.
I know the hours you have poured into lessons this year- online and in-person. Please take a much-deserved break this summer to relax and recharge!
Tech Tuesdays will resume on August 10th!
Thanks,
